Transparency International’s 2020 Corruption Perceptions Index , a measure of public sector corruption, ranks Australia eleventh in descending order of 180 countries and places it above the United States of America (25th) and China (78th). That said, corruption in a country is not measured solely by the misdeeds of its politicians and public servants. It is measured also by the misdeeds of its communities and its corporate and individual citizens.
